A lot of reading and movies this week, ’cause I have a window of free time between work projects. One of the cool sides of freelance work - though it's always hard to quickly adapt to the fact that you're free and can do anything with your time.

During the past 2 months, I kinda fucked up all my routines and habits that I'd been working on all year, so the current goal is to gradually restore everything bit by bit - especially the sleep schedule and health-related stuff, including limiting computer time. Feeling pretty bad that I often go in circles with all this, but maybe that's just the path - each time you understand better why you need these habits to not feel like shit.

Also, one good thing I learned during this heavy work period: don't fear new stuff, just hop in and things will be okay. I’ve always been more of a cautious person and never accepted jobs unless I was sure my level was enough. This time, I just tried a new approach - saying yes to everything and figuring things out on the go - and it worked well. I learned A LOT of new stuff, especially in 3D and animation. It was hard, considering the limited amount of time, but totally worth it. Still thinking about how to find a balance though, because when you work like that for a long time, it just leads to burnout and chronic fatigue.

Another thought I caught myself thinking about lately - keep things simple and don’t try to make everything the “right” or “perfect” way. For example, I always feel like when I write a new post, it has to be a certain length, without any mistakes, and with some kind of clear idea behind it - but that just makes it harder to write anything, and posts end up feeling synthetic. So, a reminder to myself: all of this is just for fun and memories, so don’t make things harder than they need to be.

Glad to be back on the web, and happy to read all the posts I missed during this time.

Have a great week, everyone!
