Lately, I’ve noticed a strange trend - I always discover new music while watching live performances on channels like NPR, KEXP, 3voor12, etc. If I like something, I immediately download the album to my library - and most of the time, the studio versions suck. It’s strange to me, because it used to be the opposite - good production quality on the studio versions and very mid live performances, since it's harder to fix stuff in post.

So yeah, I can’t wrap my head around it. It’s a pity that almost none of them release live performances as a separate version of the album - that would be amazing.
